The Republic of Rautha is a highly urbanized territory that has undergone dazzling technological development over the last twenty years. It is a cosmopolitan society where the different peoples of Astrenor live in harmony.

The Republic of Rautha was founded by the kingdoms of Irdian, Drukh and Epheria to provide a neutral territory for the Alliance. As a result, its headquarters were established in the very heart of the republic's capital: Castle City. Over the years, Castle City has become a thriving, progressive city of modern, ingenious architecture, whose power and influence have grown steadily since its inception.

The nation is governed by President Panorius, appointed by the Alliance's high dignitaries. He has won the sympathy of the people through his benevolence and the technological development he has brought to the Republic of Rautha.

Today, the republic has become the nerve center of the continent. All military decisions are made here, and it's where all the continent's elite are trained. As the balance of power between the three founding kingdoms and the Republic of Rautha has completely reversed, a majority of the population sees President Panorius as the supreme leader of Rautha.

The Kingdom of Irdian is a country with a history stretching back thousands of years. It is said to have been founded by Elios, one of the first men and son of the goddess of the sea, Irdia, throughout numerous conquests. Legend has it that he called upon his mother's powers to overwhelm enemy troops and conquer their lands. Deeply rooted in religion, the people of Irdian are very attached to their customs and traditions.

As a hilly, predominantly rural, territory, it is protected by an immense rocky promontory that covers a large part of its coastline. Before the formation of the Republic of Rautha, the Kingdom of Irdian was the largest country on the continent. Being most at risk should the Duchy of Velugian fall, Irdian was forced to cede numerous territories to the west, in order to strengthen the Rautha alliance.

Carleon, its capital, is a magnificent fortified city overlooking the sea. It boasts one of Rautha's largest ports, and its inhabitants make their living mainly from maritime activities.

The kingdom is currently ruled by King Toric, a descendant of Elios. However, the young king is not unanimously supported by his people. Indeed, some of Irdian's inhabitants see him as a capricious child, incapable of leading a great nation and restoring Irdian to its former greatness.

The kingdom of Epheria is the birthplace of the elves in Astrenor. It is said that they have occupied these lands for thousands of years. It was only with the creation of the Rautha alliance that the gates of Aethel, the capital of Epheria, were opened to foreigners.

The kingdom of Epheria is a territory covered by particularly dense forests, in which small country villages have sprung up. The inhabitants of these villages live mainly from hunting and gathering, and are very concerned about protecting their forest.

As for the capital, it overlooks the kingdom's forests. This immense city of sophisticated architecture can be seen for miles around. Almost as old as the birth of Epheria, Aethel has withstood the test of time, protecting millennia of knowledge within its walls.

The Kingdom of Epheria is ruled by King Lurius, supported by his Prime Minister and head of parliament, Elcan. The inhabitants of the capital seem to be in favor of the government's measures, unlike the forest dwellers who feel abandoned.

The kingdom of Drukh is a mountainous territory occupied for centuries by the dwarves, who have built their wealth on the exploitation of the mineral deposits contained in these mountains.

Guldrak, their leader, is the legitimate heir to the royal family of the mountain people. He rules his kingdom with an iron fist, yet remains highly respected by his subjects.

Most of the villages in the Drukh kingdom are located on mountainsides thousands of meters above sea level.

Its capital, Wolforge, is no exception, sitting atop Mount Gigantic, the largest mountain in all of Rautha. The city, considered impregnable, conceals an underground city dug right into the heart of the mountain. While the visible part of the city is freezing at the top, the lower part of the city is permanently heated by the two great lava cauldrons that feed Wolforge’s immense underground forge. This forge is the pride of the dwarf people: many legendary weapons have been crafted here, continuing to fuel the reputation of mountain blacksmiths throughout Astrenor.

The empire of Korimdor is Asgure's greatest power. It was founded by former Asgure warriors, who formed a guild made up of the three toughest fighters of the day: Korin, Eldur and Dorfin. These three great warriors decided to face off in a fratricidal battle to determine who would be best able to lead this new nation. During this confrontation, Dorin lost his life at Korin's hands and Eldur laid down his arms, recognizing Korin as their new legitimate leader. To preserve the legacy of the founding warriors, it was decreed that the throne of Korimdor would be put up for grabs every ten years, at the end of a tournament featuring the empire's most formidable fighters.

After centuries of existence, the tradition has endured: the winner of this decade's tournament of kings began his reign over the empire of Korimdor. Respected by his followers and feared by his enemies, Kerozen, the new emperor, has established a reign of terror in which delinquency and insubordination are severely punished. Some of the empire's inhabitants do not look kindly on his arrival in power, and have chosen to bet on the next champion, at the risk of incurring the wrath of the current emperor.

The empire's territory, though rocky and hilly, has developed technologically, and today boasts numerous industrialized cities. Its inhabitants are of varied origins and races, but the authoritarian reign of the new emperor seems to be forcing them to live together.

Its capital, Hankala, is an immense city of ostentatious architecture. It is surrounded by factories that constantly belch out thick, black smoke. The Emperor's Tower, located in the heart of the city, looms hundreds of meters above the landscape. It is occupied by all the empire's top brass. Scientific and military research are the driving forces behind this capital built to the glory of warriors.

The theocracy of Elrig is set in mountainous territory marked by very active volcanism. It is home to the Fire Cult, an ancestral religion based on fire magic. Worshippers of this cult believe in the return of dragons to Astrenor and purification by flames.

Elydark, the guide and leader of the Fire Cult, is headquartered in the City of Fire, the nation's capital. This city lies at the foot of Asgure's largest volcano, aptly named the Dragons' Nest. The City of Fire was designed to withstand several volcanic eruptions, thanks in particular to the surrounding ramparts that divert lava flows towards the east coast. With its focus on religion and the mastery of fire, the capital has produced a large number of particularly powerful mages, whose influence has enabled the cult to spread beyond the city walls.

Long in conflict with the Korimdor empire, they now form a coalition with the common goal of protecting Asgure from the threat of Rautha.

Dezolation is a land heavily marked by centuries of confrontation. Its battlefields stretch for miles along the western coast. Although nature has struggled to reclaim its rights, the land has nevertheless aroused the interest of the Korimdor empire, which sees it as a means of claiming the maritime zones of the Blood Sea.

Long uninhabited, its capital Xynnar soon became the training ground for the new generation of Asgure warriors. The city grew rapidly under the impetus of the Korimdor empire, which wished to take advantage of the period of peace to reconquer this part of the continent.

Most of Dezolation's inhabitants are warriors sent from the Korimdor empire. The civilian population, on the other hand, fled these lands decades ago.

Quaz is a rocky desert region of the continent, abandoned by the Korimdor empire around a hundred years ago. Since then, no government has taken over, and anarchy has set in, leaving the inhabitants to fend for themselves.

The capital, Kled, is a huge slum where a large part of the Quaz population lives. The city is rife with turf wars and petty crime.

Not caring about the conflicts between Asgure and Rautha, the inhabitants of Quaz are far too busy dealing with their everyday problems.

Tolan is a sacred territory protected by its inhabitants, and it is strictly forbidden to approach. A magical barrier seems to protect the island from intrusions, and very little information is known about it.

The nature of Tolan's political regime is unknown, but it would appear that the territory is ruled by a certain Xeenox, said to be the descendant of Olyndra, a dragon who took human form.

The topology of the area and its civilization are unknown.
